Why is the “time factor” so important?

When it comes to cardiorespiratory arrest, time is crucial; the faster CPR is started and help is sought, the higher the patient’s chances of survival, for every minute the patient spends without receiving proper assistance, he/she loses between 7 % to 10% chances of survival.

When the heart stops beating, it enters a cardiorespiratory arrest. A phase often known as the ‘electrical phase. The heart begins to work at a chaotic rhythm three minutes after the event and does not generate a pulse.

It is critical to remain calm in this situation, as it could mean the difference between life and death. Your knowledge of CPR can save lives!

According to research, 70 to 83 percent of patients can recover successfully if adequate aid is provided within the first three minutes.
